We are seeking an experienced Glazier to join our team. The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements
- Measure, mark, and cut glass to required dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment
- Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, and other glass products
- Fabricate and construct frames and supports for glass installation
- Position and secure glass panes into frames using sealants, fasteners, and glazing materials
- Install windows and glass doors, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
- Repair and service windows, doors, and related glass components
- Replace damaged glass units, glass products, and defective sealants
- Inspect completed installations to ensure quality, fit, and compliance with specifications
- Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, swing stages, and rigging as required
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school
- 3-4 years of experience in the trade
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Work Environment
- Outdoor construction environment across residential job sites
- Work at heights and use of ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Physically demanding work involving lifting, handling glass, and precision installation
