Wage rate: $36.70 per hour (40 hours per week)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time, Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Overtime
Education: Secondary (High) School Completion
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Language: English
Job Duties:
• Determine type of glass, frames and material required
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Measure, mark and cut glass
• Position and secure panes in frame
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
• Install door, window and other hardware
• Repair glass doors and other glass structures
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
• Estimate costs and materials
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, hand to eye co-ordination, standing, walking, physically demanding, Ability to distinguish between colours
Personal Suitability: Client focus, Team player, Accurate, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills: Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, Estimate costs and materials.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
