Memushi Windows Ltd. is a fast-growing company providing a wide range of services in the construction industry, serving the GTA and areas outside of the GTA. The company delivers services to commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Glazier will be responsible for cutting, fitting, installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, exterior building walls, and other structures. Duties include measuring and preparing glass and frames, installing glass panels, windows, doors, mirrors, and related glass products, securing glass in frames, sealing and finishing installations, and replacing damaged glass or faulty sealant. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, determine materials required, and comply with workplace safety standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review drawings, work orders, and site measurements to plan glass, window, and door installation work.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare glass panels, frames, and related materials.
• Install and secure glass panels, windows, glass doors, mirrors, and related glass products.
• Fit glass into frames using appropriate fasteners, gaskets, sealants, and finishing materials.
• Install and adjust window and door frames, hardware, trims, flashing, and weatherproofing components.
• Replace damaged glass, repair faulty seals, and service existing windows, doors, and glass-supporting structures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, glass-cutting tools, and lifting equipment safely.
• Load, unload, move, and organize glass products, frames, tools, and materials at job sites.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper alignment, secure installation, sealing, and finishing.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when handling glass, using equipment, and working at heights.
