Rez Glass Industries Ltd. is a Mississauga, Ontario-based glass and glazing company engaged in the fabrication and installation of architectural glass products for residential, commercial, and construction-related projects across the Greater Toronto Area. The company provides customized glass solutions, including glass railings, shower enclosures, mirrors, and aluminum-glass systems, supporting both new construction and renovation work. By working in coordination with contractors and project stakeholders, the company ensures accurate installations, adherence to project specifications, and high standards of workmanship.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Glazier is responsible for performing skilled glass installation and repair work for residential, commercial, and construction projects undertaken by the company. The role involves reading project specifications, measuring and cutting glass, installing and securing glass panels and related systems, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to high-quality standards. Working on-site and at heights when required, the Glazier supports new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects while contributing to the company’s commitment to precision and workmanship.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to identify glass types, dimensions, installation methods, and required materials.
• Measure, mark, and cut glass to required sizes using manual tools or automated cutting equipment.
• Install and secure glass panels, windows, and mirrors into frames using appropriate fastening systems such as clips, gaskets, and moldings.
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass products, including mirrors, curtain wall components, and other architectural glass systems for interior and exterior applications.
• Install aluminum frames, storefront systems, and related architectural metal components in residential and commercial projects.
• Replace damaged or broken glass in windows, doors, and other structural or decorative applications, ensuring proper sealing and finishing.
• Repair and maintain glass systems, including resealing joints and adjusting hardware to ensure safety and performance.
• Set up, use, and dismantle scaffolding, swing stages, and lifting equipment as required to complete installations at various heights.
• Install specialized glass products such as skylights, display units, and custom glass features as required by project specifications.
• Assist in estimating material requirements and quantities for projects when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience: 1 year of work experience as a Glazier
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Languages: Proficiency in English
