Job Description:
Coopertech Ltd. dba MX Glass & Mirror Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for two Full-time/Permanent Glaziers in Burnaby, BC.
Position : Glazier
Available Position : 2
Wage : $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
Working hours : 30-40 hours per week
Terms of Employment : Full-time, Permanent
Starting Date of Employment : As soon as possible
Benefit : Extended health benefits after a 3-month probation period
Work Location : #104-6741 Cariboo Road, Burnaby, BC V3N 4A3
Vacation : 10 days paid vacation OR 4% of gross salary
Job duties
-Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the type and thickness of
glass and materials required
-Measure and mark glass and cut-glass using glass cutters or computerized cutter
-Tint glass and create patterns on glass by etching, sandblasting, or painting designs
-Position glass panes into frames and secure glass using clips, points, or mouldings
-Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass.
-Fabricate architectural metals or related substitute products.
-Install pre-cut mirrors and opaque and transparent glass panels in frames.
-Replace glass in furniture and other products
Requirements
-Completion of secondary school is usually required.
-Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience in glass manufacturing is required or completion of a 3-4 year apprenticeship program is required.
-Working knowledge of CNC computerized glass cutting equipment required.
