ABOUT THE VACANCY
We are currently looking for an experienced and goal-oriented Glass Product Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. The role involves supervising the glass manufacturing team, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met, maintaining safety, and training staff according to company policies.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the glass manufacturing crew, including assigning tasks and ensuring smooth workflow within the company’s production operations.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee production operations to meet established targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor production processes and inspect work to ensure glass products comply with company specifications, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper job procedures, safe equipment operation, quality expectations, and company policies.
• Requisition materials and supplies as needed, and coordinate with management to maintain adequate resources for uninterrupted production.
• Identify operational issues, workflow inefficiencies, and equipment concerns, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and product quality.
• Prepare production and other operational reports, maintain records related to output, staffing, and performance, and communicate updates to management.
• Assist with setup, adjustment, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to support efficient glass production.
• Participate in monitoring employee performance and provide recommendations on staffing, promotions, and scheduling to optimize team operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-secondary diploma/certificate in science or a related field is an asset.
• 2-3 years of experience in a related role, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or glazing industry.
• Supervisory skills with experience leading a team.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Fluent English.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
WORK CONDITIONS
• Permanent, full-time position
• $36.00 per hour for 40 hours of work week
