Job Description:
GLASS INSTALLER-GLAZIER
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Review and interpret blueprints and specifications to identify the required glass dimensions, type, thickness, colour, framing layout, installation methods, and the necessary staging or scaffolding equipment
• Measure, cut, fit, install, repair, and replace various types of glass and glass alternatives in interior and exterior building structures, as well as in furniture or other fabricated products
• Use hand tools to install pre-made metal or wooden window and door frames designed to hold glass panels
• Assemble and install aluminum or steel frames, sashes, and moldings needed for securing glass during installation
• Maintain, repair, and service glass-supporting systems and door structures in properties, including replacing damaged or broken glass when necessary
REQUIRED:
• 3+ years’ experience in glass installation
• Completion of secondary school
• Ability to read measurements accurately and use various hand and power tools
• Physically fit to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform the required tasks
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Valid driver’s licence

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work will be performed at client sites and frequent travel is required
• Willing to work at heights and outdoors

POSITION TYPE:
Permanent, Full-Time – 30 hours per week
Salary $36.00 per hour
