Responsibilities
Tasks:
Assist in environmental audits
Conduct environmental audits
Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs
Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs
Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems
Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests
Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies.

Experience and specialization
Computer and technology knowledge:
Computer-aided design (CAD)
Geographic Information System (GIS)
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.

Field work location experience: On land.

Technical experience:
Mapping and surveying
Geological sampling analysis
Geochemical sampling analysis
Geophysical prospecting analysis
Seismic surveying
Geotechnical studies
Spectroscopy
Microscopy
Acoustic techniques
Telescopy.
