Duties:
• Diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders
• Conducting medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
• Prescribing medications and treatment
• Treating diseases and physiological disorders
• Studying nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
• Acting as consultants to other physicians
• Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements:
• Completion of the certifying examinations of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensing by the provincial or territorial licensing authority is required
• A bachelor’s degree is required
• Graduation from an approved medical school and specific specialty training is required
• 3-4 years of specialty residency training is required
• Criminal Record check is required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
