General Manager Job

SUMMARY

The General Manager’s primary responsibility is providing exceptional customer experience while leading and maintaining the day-to-day operation of the store in compliance with policies and procedures. The General Manager is responsible for coaching each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times, while working with team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage all repair facility personnel
Oversee hiring, training, corrective action and termination
Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center
Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expenses
Set performance targets and deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews
Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center
Provide training for all staff as necessary
Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code
Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures
Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to oversee work in progress and delivery dates
Manage all estimates and store capacity
Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings. Attend monthly managers meetings
Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by our Leadership Team
Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times
Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth
Maintain The Boyd Group KPIs (Sales/ GP/ EBITA /BHPD/ NPS/ WOW Scores)
Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education or equivalent
2-3 years’ experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a collision repair environment or similar context
Valid driver’s license

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Clear verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and function well in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Google platform and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Capability to engage with all levels of employees
Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills
