Due to the recent retirement, Gibo Health Food, Ltd. is now seeking an experienced, visionary General Manager to lead and oversee the company’s comprehensive business operations. This executive role requires high-level corporate governance, strategic planning, and overall financial oversight. The General Manager will be responsible for defining growth strategies, authorizing operating budgets, optimizing supply chain and omni-channel sales (physical and e-commerce), and leading senior management to ensure long-term profitability and sustainable development across all business channels.

Key Responsibilities
• Establish corporate objectives and growth strategies to expand the company’s omnichannel (wholesale, brick-and-mortar retail, and e-commerce) presence in Asian health foods, herbal supplements, and specialty goods across Canada.
• Authorize and structure major operational divisions, including Supply Chain & Imports, E-Commerce Operations, wholesale/Retail Chain Operations, and Procurement, and select, hire, and manage key managers and senior personnel.
• Coordinate and oversee operations across multiple locations and online/wholesale channels, ensuring consistent operational standards, store performance, inventory distribution, and brand execution.
• Direct human, financial, and material resources to optimize end-to-end supply chain logistics, import management, and inventory to ensure high efficiency and product quality.
• Establish and maintain financial and administrative control systems; authorize annual operating budgets, evaluate profit-and-loss performance across all sale channels, and approve overall capital investments and financial risk management strategies.
• Formulate and approve integrated promotional campaigns, brand strategies, and cross-channel marketing initiatives (both in-store promotions and e-commerce digital marketing) to drive revenue growth and enhance brand presence.
• Approve overall workforce planning, executive compensation structures, and corporate HR policies.
• Represent the enterprise in high-level negotiations with overseas suppliers, domestic distributors, key wholesale buyers, commercial landlords, and major industry partners.

Skills & Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive senior management experience in wholesale distribution, retail operations, or e-commerce, import/export sector, or a related field.
• Knowledge or experience in regulatory compliance (e.g., Health Canada, CFIA regulations), import/export logistics, or supply chain risk management for specialized consumer/health products is an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership in managerial or entrepreneurial roles.
• Effective communication skills.
