Education:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
• College diploma in hospitality management, business administration, hotel management, or a related field is an asset
Experience:
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel, motel, or hospitality management or supervision required
Responsibilities / Tasks
• Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the hotel/motel
• Coordinate, assign and review the work of front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff
• Monitor daily hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction and service quality standards are maintained
• Establish work schedules and supervise staff performance
• Assist in recruiting, training and evaluating employees
• Manage reservations, occupancy levels, and guest services to maximize operational efficiency
• Resolve customer complaints and respond to emergency situations as needed
• Monitor revenues and expenses and assist in budget control and cost management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate purchasing activities
