Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our vegetable combination farming team. The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining crop health, harvesting, and preparing produce for market.
Key duties include:
Key Responsibilities:
Apply hoeing techniques between crop rows to control weeds and maintain soil health
Clean crops and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
Cut agricultural crops and seeds according to farm standards
Divide freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
Grade vegetables by size, shape, color, and volume for maximum market value
Hand-harvest vegetables for shipment
Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
Perform seed cutting and weeding as needed
Fertilize and spray crops as directed
Harvest crops and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely
Examine products for quality and market readiness
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
Work under tight deadlines and pressure
Requires handling heavy loads
Physically demanding; requires manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
Standing for extended periods; frequent bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Work is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, including wet/damp, hot, cold/refrigerated, noisy, dusty, and odorous environments
Tasks may be dirty at times

Qualifications:
Previous experience in fruit and vegetable farming is an asset, but not required
Willingness to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
