Job details:
• Location: Canyon, BCV0B 1C1
• Salary: 18.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Start date: Starts as soon as possible
• Vacancies: 5 vacancies
• Type of crops: Cherries
Overview
• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: Will train
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Hand-eye co-ordination, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching & kneeling required
Responsibilities & Tasks
• Clean the crops
• Pack fruits and vegetables
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Weeding
• Clean work area
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops
• Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
