is in need of General Farm Labourer (Swine)
NOC: 85100
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time - Permanent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Involved in all aspects of daily livestock feeding, bedding and detection of sick animals.
2. Monitor pig health, recognize signs of disorder and report concerns.
3. Follow safe manure management procedure when cleaning out manure pits.
4. Monitor and maintain proper ventilation and temperatures.
5. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
6. Responsible to act safely in performing job duties at all times.
7. Perform other related farm duties as required.
WORKING HOURS: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; work shift between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM (working hours may vary depending on stage of production); 2 varied days off per week
WAGE: $18.50 per hour
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: No formal education is required.
2. Work Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
3. Physically demanding job, must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
