GenAI Researcher Job

The Center for Deep Learning (CDL) at Northwestern University seeks an exceptional researcher in the area of generative AI (genAI), including agentic AI, deep learning, and data science. CDL is composed of faculty members and PhD candidates from various departments working on genAI, deep learning, data science, and the internet of things.

Position Overview: The research position is primarily focused on developing and implementing prototypes of genAI solutions and agentic AI concepts, including but not limited to context engineering, addressing hallucination challenges, advancing validators, and ensuring the security of agentic protocols. The researcher is expected to interact with center member companies.

Qualifications:
• Prior knowledge of LLMs, langChain, and crewAI is advantageous.
• Applicants should have a graduate degree (MS or PhD); exceptional candidates with a BS and relevant experience will also be considered.
• We seek individuals with expertise in these areas who are eager to conduct independent research and lead projects involving PhD candidates.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent research.
• Lead genAI and deep learning projects with PhD students.
• Interact with sponsoring companies regarding select projects.
