Job Description:
Seeking a candidate to fill the position of skilled and licensed Gas Technician (G2) at Aire One Heating and Cooling. The individual will be responsible for resolving issues with residential gas-fired equipment including furnaces, fireplaces, boilers and water heaters. The right candidate will have a minimum of 1 to less than 2 years’ experience as Gas Technician, be a strong team player, be organized, detail-oriented, and take pride in their work along with good customer service skills.

Tasks
Attend to gas escape calls
Install gas heating units and their components
Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
Service gas heating units and their components
Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
Instruct apprentices
Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
Estimate costs and materials
Operate CADD and other computer software systems
Test and replace defective equipment or components
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B
