Position: Gas station manager

Duration/Type: Full Time

Location: 62 St David St N, Noëlville, ON P0M 2N0

Salary: $58,000 per annum; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.

Vacation: 4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work: 30.0 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable 44 hours of work per week

Position Summary:

The Gas Station Manager oversees the daily operations of the location, ensuring efficient and profitable business management. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining high customer service standards, managing inventory and sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the gas station and convenience store.
• Supervise and support staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning duties.
• Hire, train, and guide employees on customer service and safety rules.
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Monitor fuel sales, store sales, and cash handling procedures.
• Order fuel, store merchandise, and supplies; maintain proper inventory levels.
• Ensure the station is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
• Prepare daily sales reports, staff records, and inventory reports.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation.
• Maintain equipment such as fuel pumps, POS systems, and store fixtures.
• Control costs and help improve sales and profitability of the station.

Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or service-station environment, including staff supervision and day-to-day operations management, is required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining operational standards.
• Strong understanding of sales and inventory systems, with a willingness to learn and grow in financial and operational management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Completion of secondary school is required.
