SIMMCO Inc. is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Gas Fitter to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain gas lines, appliances, and related equipment in residential and commercial settings.
• Test gas systems for leaks, pressure, and proper operation using approved testing methods and diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective repairs on gas piping and connected systems.
• Document completed work and communicate any issues or recommended repairs to supervisors or clients.
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in gas fitting or related trade
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is an asset
• Good command in English language
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and conditions:
• Full-time, permanent position consisting of at least 35 weekly work hours
• The remuneration will be set at CAD$36.60 per hour
• Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
• You will be located at 90 Advance Rd., Etobicoke, Ontario, M8Z 2T7.
