Abell Home Services Ltd. (o/a Abell Pro Garage Door Repair & Installation) is seeking dynamic Garage Door Installers to join our growing team!
Service area and job location: Greater Vancouver area, BC
Job type: Full-time (40 hours per week), permanent
Compensation: $28.85 per hour
Responsibilities:
• Reviewing instructions or work order specifications to determine the appropriate installation procedures;
• Measuring and marking guidelines for use during installations;
• Installing, replacing, repairing, and servicing various types of garage doors, including mechanical doors, automatic sliding doors, remote-controlled doors, rolling shutters, etc.;
• Assembling and testing mechanical components to ensure proper functionality;
• Inspecting garage doors, openers, and related components, diagnosing problems, and replacing or repairing malfunctioning garage door parts;
• Managing the ordering and maintenance of inventory for replacement parts;
• Utilizing hand and power tools, ladders, and lift equipment during the installation process;
• Professionally representing the company when interacting with clients.
Minimum requirements:
• Several months to 1 year of relevant experience in installation, repair, or servicing;
• Customer-service oriented;
• Proficient in English;
• Completion of secondary school.
