Job Duties:
• Build and repair various types of furniture such as sofas, chairs, beds etc using hand or power tools.
• Provide estimate of raw material required to complete the orders.
• Smothering of services, application of varnishing/staining materials.
• Take Measurements to mark furniture dimensions or layout using tolls such as rules, tapes and pencils.
• Produce wooden components by cutting and shaping raw materials with the aid of hand or power tools.
• Assemble and join wood parts to form structures using various joinery methods.
• Create precise holes on wood pieces to allow space for the lodging of screws and bolts
• Read and follow construction design plans to produce the desired structure.
• Provide guidance to junior or trainee carpenters.
