Compensation: $20.00 per hour (No benefits)

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and versatile individual to join our team as Funeral Support Staff. This is an as-needed, part-time position critical to ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and the families we serve receive the highest level of care. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling a wide variety of tasks behind the scenes and directly assisting attendees during services.

Key Responsibilities

Removals: Assist in the prompt, respectful, and professional transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home.

Hospitality & Guest Services: Serve as a door greeter, provide directions, and offer immediate hospitality and support to families and their guests.

Service Support: Stand and assist during viewings, funerals, and memorial services to ensure all events run smoothly and respectfully.

Facility Cleaning: Perform routine indoor cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the funeral home pristine and welcoming.

Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior appearance of the property, including basic landscaping, sweeping, and seasonal upkeep.

Requirements & Qualifications

Flexible Availability: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call or as-needed basis.

Professionalism & Empathy: Must maintain a highly professional appearance, a quiet and compassionate demeanor, and the ability to interact gracefully with families navigating grief.

Physical Capability: Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, perform manual labor (cleaning and groundskeeping), and safely assist with the heavy lifting required during removals.

Reliability: Strict punctuality and prompt responsiveness when called in for shifts or immediate removals are essential.
