Oak Farm Vineyards is hiring a Prep Cook in Lodi, CA to support high-quality food production at our family-owned estate winery. This culinary job is ideal for candidates with strong knife skills, attention to detail, and experience in fast-paced kitchens.
Job Requirements:
The Prep Cook will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure efficient prep execution, food safety compliance, and consistent presentation for winery guests and events.
Core Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients according to daily prep schedules
-Maintain knowledge of all menu items and preparation standards
-Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
-Follow food cost control and portion guidelines
-Maintain clean, sanitized prep stations
-Complete opening and closing kitchen procedures
Experience & Requirements:
-1 to 2 years of cooking experience (culinary program preferred)
-Knowledge of culinary trends and food cost controls
-Basic knife and cutting technique proficiency
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended shifts
-Current CA Food Handler or ServSafe certification
-Valid driver’s license and age 21+
