Full Stack Web Developer Job

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Full Stack Web Developer to join our development team in Coquitlam, British Columbia.

This is an on-site position. The work must be completed at Nirvana Canada’s physical location in Coquitlam. There is no remote-work option for this role.

About the Position

The Full Stack Web Developer will contribute to the planning, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support of websites, web applications and e-commerce solutions.

The successful candidate will work with clients and internal team members to understand project requirements, develop responsive and functional solutions, troubleshoot technical issues and maintain the performance, security and quality of completed projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients and internal stakeholders to identify, develop and document website and web-application requirements.
• Write, modify, integrate and test front-end and back-end code for websites, e-commerce platforms and other Internet-based applications.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly and functional website components.
• Prepare website mock-ups, wireframes and storyboards based on project requirements.
• Assist in developing logical and physical specifications for websites and web applications.
• Integrate databases, APIs, third-party services, content-management systems and other software components.
• Identify and communicate technical problems, development processes and recommended solutions.
• Conduct functional, compatibility, performance, security and quality-control testing.
• Troubleshoot coding, integration, database and deployment issues.
• Research and evaluate web-development tools, frameworks, software products and interactive technologies.
• Prepare technical reports, manuals and documentation relating to the operation, status and maintenance of software and web applications.
• Maintain, update and improve existing websites and applications.
• Consult with clients following project delivery and provide ongoing technical support.
• Work with designers, developers, digital marketers and other team members to complete projects within established timelines.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the following areas is required:

• Computer Science
• Computer Programming
• Computer Software Technology
• Web Development
• A related technical discipline

Experience

Previous experience in full-stack web development is considered an asset.

Candidates may demonstrate relevant experience through previous employment, academic projects, freelance work, personal projects or a development portfolio.
