CasePilot is a legal tech startup on a mission to simplify immigration processes. We’re building an intelligent case management platform that reduces attorney workload, streamlines documentation, and integrates AI to automate the heavy lifting of immigration workflows.
We're looking for a driven Full Stack Engineer who wants to build something impactful — fast.
About the Role:
This is a 40-hour/week contract role for 7–8 weeks to bring our MVP to life. You’ll work directly with the founder and execute on a clear, documented product vision — no fluff, no endless scope creep. Just smart code, clean builds, and tight deadlines.
Your Responsibilities:
Build both front-end and back-end components of the CasePilot MVP.
Translate Figma mockups and functional specs into a responsive, clean UI.
Implement secure user roles (Administrator, Case Manager, Petitioner, Foreign National).
Integrate OpenAI APIs for AI-powered form generation and smart messaging.
Build real-time internal messaging and video conferencing features.
Set up scalable infrastructure on AWS or Azure (no Vercel).
Write maintainable code, adhere to clear milestones, and deliver fast.
Our Ideal Stack:
Frontend: React (Next.js preferred), Tailwind CSS
Backend: Node.js / Express
Database: PostgreSQL
AI Integration: OpenAI API
Cloud: AWS or Azure
Tools: GitHub, Slack, ClickUp
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
4–8 years of full stack development experience (SaaS or B2B platform experience preferred)
Proven ability to work independently and meet milestone-based timelines
Strong grasp of system architecture, security, and modern dev stacks (React, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS/Azure)
4+ years of full stack experience in SaaS or platform development.
Proven ability to execute solo on both front-end and back-end builds.
Comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding.
Experience building secure authentication and role-based access systems.
Solid communicator who’s available during U.S. business hours for check-ins.
Bonus: Experience integrating AI, billing systems, or legaltech platforms.
Compensation & Future Opportunities:
$60–$65/hour (W-9 or 1099) based on experience
Equity opportunity may be offered after MVP completion if the fit is right
Work directly with the founder, fast-track feedback, and real ownership of your code
