Full Stack Blockchain Developer Job

We are River Financial - a new force in the Web3 space. We are building a decentralized platform that bridges the gap between digital ownership and real-world, tangible value. We aren't just creating another NFT project; we are building a utility-first ecosystem.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Blockchain Developer to take ownership of our MVP. This is a high-impact role where you will be the go-to expert on our blockchain architecture, from designing gas-optimized smart contracts to integrating seamless wallet functionality into a frontend.

What You'll Do
- Smart Contract Engineering: Design, write, test, and deploy battle-tested smart contracts (Solidity) for minting, payments, and utility access on EVM-compatible chains.
- Web3 Frontend Integration: Lead the integration of Web3 functionality into our Next.js application using wagmi and viem (or ethers.js).
- Backend Architecture: Build robust Express.js backend routes to handle metadata generation, file uploads (to IPFS), and manage the syncing of on-chain data with off-chain databases (MongoDB).
- Full Stack Syncing: Ensure seamless communication between the Next.js client, Express server, IPFS, and the blockchain to create a smooth user experience.
- Optimization: Obsess over gas optimization and transaction cost reduction to ensure our users have a frictionless experience.

What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of professional Full Stack Development experience (this isn't your first rodeo).
- Proven Smart Contract Experience: You have deployed production-grade contracts on an EVM-compatible chain (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, etc.) and can share your work.
- The Full Web3 Stack: Deep familiarity with wagmi, viem, ethers.js, and IPFS (or similar decentralized storage).
- Modern Frontend Skills: Extensive experience with React and Next.js (App Router is a plus).
- Backend Proficiency: Strong skills in Node.js and Express, with experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Database Knowledge: Comfortable working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Owner Mindset: You are a self-starter who can take ownership of the blockchain layer and make architectural decisions independently.

Nice to Haves (Bonus Points)
- Background in Education Tech (EdTech) or Marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Hardhat/Foundry).
