Front desk manager-hotel Job

656236 BC Ltd DBA Days Inn is looking for 1 full-time and permanent Front desk manager-hotel at 2840 sexsmith road, Richmond, BC,V6X 2H3.(Even though this is full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is 41.50/hr and 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the department or establishment

Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses

Participate in the development of pricing and promotional strategies

Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies

Recruit and supervise staff, oversee training and set work schedules

Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities for conventions, banquets, receptions and other functions

Resolve customer complaints.

Employment Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required. A university degree or college diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is usually required for managers employed by hotel chains or large accommodation establishments. 3-5 years of experience within the hotel industry are usually required and may substitute for formal educational requirements.
