Freight Supervisor Job

Capital Freightways LTD. is looking for one Freight Supervisor for its business located at 17957 55 Avenue suite Unit 204 Surrey, British Columbia V3W 6C4. This is a permanent, full-time position consisting of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.

As a Freight Supervisor, you will perform the following job duties:
-Supervise, plan, assign, and review the work of clerks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of materials, parts, and products.
-Process purchasing transactions, coordinate production activities, dispatch crews, and schedule transportation crews and routes as required.
-Ensure compliance with workplace policies, safety and security procedures, standards, and applicable regulations.
-Identify and resolve operational problems and complaints by implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
-Train workers on their job duties, procedures, and workplace requirements.
-Requisition necessary supplies, materials, and equipment to support daily operations.
-Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery and arrange for required maintenance and repairs.
-Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers and provide feedback to support their performance and development.
-Perform the same duties as supervised workers when required to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Job Requirements:
-Completion of a post-secondary education is required.
-2-3 years of relevant work experience is required.
-Basic English-language skills are required.
-Willing to travel between their work locations in British Columbia and Alberta.

What We Offer
-$38.50 per hour
-4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
-Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Position
