Freight Forwarding Supervisor

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise shipment operations, including scheduling, booking, tracking, delivery, and billing
• Assign tasks, train staff, and review their duties and performance
• Coordinate with carriers, airlines, and shipping lines to arrange shipments and confirm service rates according to company guidelines
• Supervise the handling and documentation of specialized shipments, including dangerous goods and temperature-sensitive cargo, to ensure compliance with transportation regulations
• Review shipment documentation to ensure timely release and delivery of goods
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Address and resolve work-related issues and conflicts in a collaborative manner
• Ensure staff comply with workplace policies and guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on workflow improvements to enhance scheduling and logistics coordination
• Report shipment status and operational progress to management
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• 3+ years of related work experience
• Completion of college or equivalent experience
• Thorough understanding of customs procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask in a dynamic work environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across all areas of responsibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
