Role Summary
The Freight Brokerage Operations Manager supervises day-to-day brokerage workflow and ensures loads move efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations from booking through delivery
• Verify and manage carrier relationships; negotiate rates and monitor performance
• Validate accurate shipment execution, tracking, and documentation
• Support shipper accounts by resolving service issues
• Lead and advise freight brokerage staff and agents
• Enforce compliance with transportation regulations and internal procedures
• Execute improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in end-to-end freight brokerage operations
• Experience working with a transportation management system and load boards
• Ability to manage multiple loads with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field
• Prior leadership background in brokerage operations and account management
• Knowledge of multiple transportation modes and factoring operations
Work Environment
• Office-based position in Phoenix, Arizona
