Job Requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, light steel, and other building materials.
Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Repair, renovate, and maintain wooden structures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Operate CADD and other computer-aided design tools (asset).
Supervise and coordinate site work as required.
Work Setting and Environment:
Onsite work at various construction locations
Work may involve heights, confined spaces, noise, dust, and outdoor weather conditions
Relocation costs are not covered by the employer
Education and Experience:
Completion of secondary (high) school or equivalent experience
2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
Language:
English
