Job Overview
Jetline Contracting Ltd. is seeking four (4) Framer Helpers – Construction to assist carpenters, framers and other construction workers with a variety of general construction and framing-related activities at construction sites in Richmond, British Columbia.
The successful candidates will work as part of a construction team and assist with the handling of materials, erection and dismantling of forms and temporary structures, framing activities, demolition, site cleanup and other construction-related duties.
No degree, certificate or diploma is required. No previous experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be required to:
Load, unload and transport construction materials to and from work areas.
Assist carpenters, framers and other tradespersons with construction activities.
Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades as required at construction sites.
Assist crane and heavy-equipment operators by securing materials, signalling operators and providing other assistance as directed.
Assist in demolishing buildings and removing construction materials.
Clean, sort and pile salvaged construction materials.
Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites using appropriate tools and equipment.
Direct traffic at or near construction sites when required and as directed.
Perform other general construction labouring duties as assigned by the supervisor.
