Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
• Review and understand job instructions.
• Operate equipment to clean and prepare surfaces by eliminating excess welds, rust, scale, and other unwanted materials from metal components and castings.
• Use hand tools to cut, grind, or chip away excess metal from metal components and castings.
• Polish metal components and castings.
• Immerse metal components and castings in cleaning solutions.
• Provide assistance to metalworking personnel as necessary.
• Move raw materials and finished goods by hand or with lifting equipment.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Ensure all duties are being performed following safe work practices at all times and do not present a safety hazard to employees.
Qualifications
• Some secondary school education is required.
• Safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Ability to work effectively according to instructions.
• Good communication skills (English – verbal and written).
