Position: Form Carpenter
Salary: $36.60 with an overtime rate of $54.90 per hour paid for overtime after 40 hours of work in a week.

Employment Requirements:
(a) Basic English required (CLB Level 4)
(b) Completion of secondary school required
(c) Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or three years
of work experience as a carpenter required

Job Duties:
• Construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures andcomponents of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweightsteel and other materials;
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determinespecifications and calculate requirements;
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuringtools;
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, woodsubstitutes, lightweight steel and other materials;
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erectwallsand roof systems;
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding andhardware;
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures inmills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments;
• Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
• May prepare cost estimates for clients.
