With locations in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s Financial District and centrally located in Mount Pleasant, Heritage Asian Eatery is a casual restaurant that features a menu of Far-East flavours prepared with locally sourced ingredients and modern techniques. Offering an original take on classic Asian comfort foods, we use familiar ingredients in playful and unexpected ways for a fun and honest dining experience. We offer guest a casual communal atmosphere for sit-down and take-out lunch and dinner service.
We are now looking for experienced Food Service Manager in our Pender Street location!
MAIN DUTIES
- Manage and assure prompt, high-quality food service including the kitchen and dining area.
- Employ, manage, and instruct employees in food handling, cooking, and preparation.
- Manage shift scheduling and daily performance evaluations of employees.
- Conduct routine inspections of all work areas to verify adherence to food safety and health laws.
- Comply with all restaurant food safety requirements.
- Purchase supplies for the restaurant, check on stock, and make sure the allocated budgets are being followed.
- Create weekly budget for the restaurant, manage sales and inventory, and adjust prices.
- Communicate with consumers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, is required.
- Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is a plus.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Flexible availability for weekends and holidays are required.
