Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Staff Supervision
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff.
• Assign tasks based on workload and business demands.
• Monitor staff performance, ensuring adherence to restaurant policies and procedures.
• Train new staff in food handling, service standards, and hygiene practices.
• Resolve any operational challenges during service hours and act as a bridge between management and frontline staff, ensuring clear communication.
- Customer Service & Satisfaction
• Monitor dining areas to ensure guests receive timely and courteous service.
• Oversee order-taking and food delivery to ensure customers have a pleasant dining experience and handle any service issues promptly.
- Food Preparation & Quality Control
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure kitchen staff follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
• Monitor food storage, temperature, and handling procedures to maintain freshness and hygiene.
• Work with the kitchen team to meet customer dietary needs or special requests.
• Assist in developing workplace policies, operational procedures and budget plans.
- Inventory, Supply & Cost Management
• Track food and beverage inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Assist in ordering supplies and ingredients while staying within budget.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to prevent waste.
• Help reduce costs by minimizing food waste and improving operational efficiency.
• Keep detailed records of inventory, maintenance, sales, and food waste.
• Help adjust menus and calculate the associated food and labor costs to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Health & Safety Compliance
• Enforce sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Maintain necessary records for health inspections and audits.
- Scheduling & Shift Management
• Prepare staff work schedules based on business needs and peak hours.

• Familiarity with budgeting and cost control for labor and food ingredients.
