Food Service Supervisor Job

Commonwealth Banquet Hall & Conference Centre Inc. o/a Rajveer Banquet Hall is looking for one Food Service Supervisors who can start immediately. The Banquet Hall is located at Unit 1177 – 3961 52 Ave NE, Calgary, Alberta T3J 0J7.

Wages: $35.40 per hour for 30 hours per week

Benefits: as per Alberta standards

Terms of Employment: Full time permanent position

Applicants with part time availability to cover full time shift are encouraged to apply

The Banquet Hall is open for private functions from Monday to Sunday 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Some events/celebrations can extend past 11pm as we have a later license. The Conference Centre is also open to bookings 7 days per week.

Job requirements: Language: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Job duties:
• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Supervise and check assembly of trays
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Establish work schedules

Ability to supervise: 1 – 2 people
