2250827 Ontario Inc. O/A 241 Pizza Haliburton has an immediate opening for an experienced Food Service Supervisor (NOC: 62020) at our location in Haliburton, Ontario.

As a Food service Supervisor (NOC: 62020), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Supervise, coordinate, train, schedule, evaluate and mentor all servers, kitchen staff and other supporting staff.
• Greeting and ensure customer satisfaction, develop and retain a relationship with customers.
• Support Restaurant Manager in leading the team, ensuring optimal team member coverage and works various positions during busy periods to maintain work flow.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Manage food supply, preparation of meals, beverages, and nourishments to ensure compliance with standardized menus. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• Supervise and check assembly of regular and special food orders.
• Ensure the process of meal preparation strictly to observe relevant health and safety regulations.
• Assist in evaluating team members, identifying training needs, problems, concerns as well as opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
• Answer and handle routine questions, inquiries, and complaints from customers.
• Supervise and coordinate day to day management and kitchen operation.
• Completing daily paperwork.
• Other duties as required to support operational goals.
• May plan restaurant menu and determine food cost as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel, and restaurant management or related discipline or minimum 1-2 year of experience in food preparation or service is required
• Must be flexible and should have great understanding of food service operations.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations;
• Multi-tasker, attention to detail, and effective time management.
• Be guest service oriented and committed to deliver exceptional guest experience.
• Demonstrate a passion for leading, coaching and serving your team.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues, prioritize requests and handle multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a positive approach and customer service focus.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: CA $18.50 /hour
