Job Description:
Canada Golden Foods Limited is looking for full-time permanent food processing labourers to join our busy team!
Position: Food processing labourer (NOC 95106)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-40 hours per week), Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined
Vacancies: 2
Hourly Wage: $20.00 to $23.00
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 1605 Caribou Street East, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan S6H 4Y4
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sort, clean, and prepare oilseeds such as flaxseed, camelina seed, and canola for processing in accordance with production requirements.
• Load seeds and ingredients into processing equipment such as grinders, mixers, and cold-press machines to support the production of cold-pressed edible oils.
• Assist in operating and monitoring basic oil processing equipment used in the extraction of camelina oil, flaxseed oil, and other edible oils.
• Measure and transfer raw materials, processed seeds, and oil products between workstations and storage areas to maintain an efficient production flow
• Package finished products including cold-pressed oils and milled flaxseed into bottles, bags, or containers according to company packaging and labeling standard.
• Inspect products and packaging to identify basic quality issues such as leakage, improper sealing, or labeling errors and report them to supervisors.
• Transport raw materials, finished products, and processing by-products to designated storage or disposal areas within the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, processing areas, and packaging stations in compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Assist production staff in meeting daily processing and packaging targets for Canada Golden’s edible oil and seed products.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of work experience in food processing industry
• Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Hardworking, Positive attitude, Quick learner, Team player
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads.
• Weigh handling up to 23kg (50lbs)
