is in need of a Food Counter Attendant

NOC Code: 65201

Employment Terms: Full Time - Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate deep fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment to prepare food items according to daily menu requirements and food safety standards.
2. Portion, assemble, wrap, and package food items for dine-in, take-out, and catering orders.
3. Assist in preparing and organizing food trays, platters, and meal packages for events and catering orders.
4. Package, label, and organize catering orders to ensure accuracy and readiness for pickup or delivery.
5. Serve customers at the counter or buffet line, providing friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
6. Assist with setting up buffet tables and arranging prepared food items and serving supplies for catering functions, as required.
7. Receive, unpack, and store groceries and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
8. Maintain the cleanliness of work areas, kitchen equipment, counters, and food-preparation surfaces.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned to support daily food preparation, counter service, and catering operations.

Employment Requirements:
1. Education: Some secondary school education is required
2. Work Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week; variable work schedule depending on business needs, majority of the shifts will be evening and weekends; 1-2 varied days off per week

Wage/Benefits: $15.70 to $16.32/hour; Disability, Dental, Extended Medical Insurance, AD&D, Life Insurance (Benefits available after 3 months – 50% cost sharing)
