SKILLS
Tasks:
Greet customers, take food and beverage orders, and process payments at the front counter and drive-thru.
Prepare, assemble, heat, and serve menu items such as burgers, sandwiches, chicken products, fries, and other simple foods.
Prepare and serve Dairy Queen products, including soft-serve ice cream, cones, sundaes, Blizzards, milkshakes, and other frozen treats.
Portion, package, and present dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, and delivery orders accurately.
Operate manual and electrical food-service equipment to mix, blend, slice, heat, and portion food ingredients.
Stock refrigerators, freezers, condiment stations, beverage areas, and food-preparation counters.
Receive, unpack, rotate, and store food products and supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and designated storage areas.
Monitor food and supply levels, maintain basic inventory records, and notify supervisors when items require replenishment.
Clean and sanitize food-preparation areas, work surfaces, counters, cupboards, appliances, and equipment.
Clear and clean customer tables, trays, chairs, serving areas, and dining-room surfaces.
Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, utensils, trays, containers, and other food-service items by hand when required.
Store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their designated areas.
Handle and store cleaning products safely in accordance with workplace procedures.
Remove kitchen garbage and waste and clean waste-disposal containers and surrounding areas.
Sweep, mop, wash, and maintain kitchen, counter, dining-room, and service-area floors.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, portion-control, customer-service, and workplace health and safety procedures.
