Floor Covering Installer Job

• Inspect, measure and mark installation areas to determine the layout of flooring materials.
• Measure, cut, and install underlayments and padding materials
• Measure, cut and install floor coverings by hand or machine depends on materials and area
• Stretch and secure carpeting with appropriate devices
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings
• Prepare and install hardwood floors
• Examine existing flooring to identify damage and carry out necessary repair or replacement work.

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• At least 1 year of work experience in floor covering installation is required.
• Completion of a floor covering apprenticeship program and trade certificate is preferred.
• Language: English
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
