Floor covering installer Job

LOVELY RENOVATION TORONTO is hiring a full-time Floor Covering Installer for on-site work in Mississauga, Ontario and various client locations. This is a permanent full-time position offering $36.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will install and repair different types of floor coverings in residential, commercial, rural, urban, and client-home settings.

Main duties include inspecting, measuring and marking surfaces to be covered; measuring, cutting and fastening underlay and underpadding; measuring, cutting and installing carpeting on floors; measuring, cutting and installing resilient floor coverings; preparing and installing hardwood floors; inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings; preparing floors for installation; removing existing floor coverings and contaminants; using knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting; and performing direct glue-down carpet installations.

The work is physically demanding and may involve handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, dusty conditions, and odours. The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours and have hand-eye coordination. Personal suitability includes client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, good judgment, organization, and teamwork.

Requirements: English language, no degree/certificate/diploma required, and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience. Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no remote work option.
