Title: Fire Sprinkler Fitter
Type: Permanent (Full Time), 40 hours per week
Salary: CAD$37.50 – 42.00/Hour
Description –
Fire Sprinkler Fitter cum Apprentice lay out, install, repair, maintain, modify and test fire protection systems in a variety of buildings and settings. They work on various types of fire protection systems, including but not limited with wet, dry and stand pipe.
Duties and responsibilities –
? Leading crew for the overall blaze and steel works for residential as well as for commercial buildings.
? Read drawings and determine layout.
? Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
? Measure, cut, ream and thread pipe, install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
? Join pipes and piping sections using soldering
? Connect piping system to water mains, supply tanks and control equipment
? Installs valves, alarms and associated equipment
Experience required- 3 years to less than 5 years
Education required- Secondary School or equivalent
