Fire Extinguisher Repairer
MAPLE FIRE INC. dba Maple Fire in Coquitlam, BC is looking for a skilled and experienced Full-time Fire Extinguisher Repairer.
Conditions
• Position: Fire Extinguisher Repairer (NOC 73209)
• Full-time, Permanent Position
• Wage: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (wage to be determined depend on experience and skills)
• Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Ability to do shift work (morning, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
• Vacation: 4% gross salary
• Position Available: 2
Requirements
• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of college or other courses relevant to a particular equipment or product repair OR completion of several months of on-the-job training is required
• Language: English

Job Duties
• Disassemble extinguishers to inspect components such as tubes, horns, head gaskets, cutter discs, and other components for any repair needs
• Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts using hand, power, or specialized tools.
• Clean extinguishers and recharge them with materials, such as soda water, sulfuric acid, carbon tetrachloride, nitrogen, or patented solutions
• Conduct tests on extinguishers to ensure compliance with legal specifications
• Draft an inspection report noting any issues and recommending solutions according to maintenance standards
