Job Description:
1352866 Ontario Inc. o/a TKB Custom Millwork has openings for
FINISH CARPENTERS.
We are a busy millwork shop specializing in custom renovations for kitchens and bathrooms and in commercial kitchen installations with projects across Canada.
Requirements:
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a finish carpenter
- Experience with both residential and commercial projects is an asset.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Steel-toed boots.
- Willing to travel across Canada regularly, some overnight stays depending on location
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate (training available)
Work Conditions:
- combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling with tight deadlines
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood and wood products to build and install custom cabinetryFit and install windows, doors, stairs, custom cabinetry and other finished wood products like crown mouldings, trim, doors, shelving, and hardware.
- Operate hand and power tools.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Physically demanding
Tight deadlines
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time (32 to 44 hours per week), Day, some evenings and weekends
Work Location Information: Various locations as assigned across Canada
And in shop located at 50 Galaxy Blvd., Suite 3, Toronto, Ontario M9W 4Y5
Wages: $37.00 per hour
