We are seeking detail-oriented and tech-savvy individuals to join our team as Map Data Research Assistants. This is a remote, entry-level role ideal for those passionate about maps, navigation tools, and data accuracy. You will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and verifying map data and directions across platforms like mapquest directions, Google Maps, and OpenStreetMap.

Familiarity with digital map tools such as MapQuest, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, or Apple Maps

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies in map directions or location markers

Excellent online research skills to verify address accuracy, business locations, and navigation routes

Basic knowledge of geographic concepts, map reading, and GPS coordinates

Comfortable using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) for tracking and organizing data

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment

Effective written communication skills to report errors or suggest updates clearly

Problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot inconsistencies and incomplete data

Tech-savvy with general computer skills and internet navigation expertise

(Optional) Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus but not required
