Job Duties:
1.Responsible for the formulation, implementation and modification of policies and standards for all financial activities.
2.Manage strategic financial plan process for clients and the company, including expenses, income, objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, and other elements to build a strategy.
3.Coordinate the company’s financial planning and budgeting process, and report on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
4.Oversee the preparation of the company’s financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
5.Design and build valuation and profitability models; instruct financial staff on how to utilize the software tools to perform financial forecasting; recommend the necessary adjustments for a more optimized financial situation.
6.Provide periodic performance reporting to the management and cross-functional teams, and identify new metrics to drive business performance relative to strategic priorities while minimizing risks.
7.Interpret financial information regarding revenue and loss, drive value within the business through margin enhancement, lowering costs and improving operational efficiencies.
8.Provide insight into business performance against competitors and industry trends, analyze options and make financial recommendations.
9.Manage relationships with external financial service providers including auditors and tax authorities.
10.Participate in the hiring process for financial staff and provide necessary orientation and training for newly recruited employees.

Job Requirements:
1.A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields is required
2.A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a finance-related role is required
3.Experience or qualifications in accounting would be considered an asset
4.Experience designing and implementing financial control and reporting systems an asset
5.Attention to detail with analytical and decision-making skills
6.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
7.Able to manage and guide employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
8.Excellent communication skills to present financial reports
9.Superior organization and time-management skills
