We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team. We expect you to possess excellent data analyst and comprehensive financial acumen. As part of the investment team in MCF securities, you will provide support to investment due diligence and internal/external financial report. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is interested in a career in the investment industry.
Job Duties:
1.Conduct statistical and financial analyses using SQL, MS Excel, and other tools to evaluate the financial risks of the client’s investment plans and portfolios, value assets, and prepare reports and recommendations on investment actions.
2.Gather financial information and documents through company financial reports and disclosures, press releases and news, industry research, and financial databases and platforms to access comprehensive financial data and historical performance.
3.Organize the collected data into structured formats, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize various valuation methods such as discounted cash flow analysis and comparable company analysis. Determine the intrinsic value of the investment instruments to assess the investment opportunities.
4.Assemble budgeting and forecasting reports for the management team, executives, and Board presentations. Prepare data including variance reports comparing actual to budgets and forecasts.
5.Identify potential resource utilization and expenditure pattern issues for the company. Perform sensitive analysis on company cash flows, and identify potential risks and their impact on liquidity. Help evaluate the resilience of the company’s cash flow position under different circumstances.
6.Provide advice to clients and companies concerning financial opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, or adjustments to business strategies based on financial reports and analysis. Circulate reports to the appropriate executives and stakeholders and provide recommendations.
7.Recommend and develop new systems, procedures, accounting structures, and reporting schedules to improve reporting and control processes, safeguard assets, and meet client’s needs.
8.Continuously adopt advanced analysis tools and participate in relevant events and workshops to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and data.
9.Monitor the industry and economic landscape, track relevant indicators, and evaluate the accuracy of their forecasts.
10.Maintain regular communications with financial backers, providing updates on investment performance, market development, and future opportunities.

Job Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Science, and other related fields is required. The CFA designation is an asset.
2.Minimum 1 - 2 years of proven experience in complex financial forecasting and trend analytics.
3.Experienced in creating financial reports and conducting data analysis using MS Excel, PowerBI, SQL, and other tools.
4.Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and process improvements for efficiency.
5.Demonstrated strong writing and presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company.
6.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to provide lateral and strategic direction to clients.
7.Sound initiative, vision, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.
