Bengal Foods Inc. a subsidiary of Bengal Logistics is looking for a Financial Consultant that will play a pivotal role in scaling the organization. The employee will be responsible for setting the company's financial growth strategies, setting performance standards, and preparing reports for senior management, allowing the organization to expand in untapped markets and fostering a culture of quality, driving growth and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of our financial departments
- Manage and guide the activities of teams handling finances and accounting.
- Develop and enforce financial procedures
- Prepare and review financial reports
- Oversee the creation of financial statements, cost-benefit analyses, and management reports.
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets, analyze them, and make adjustments as needed.
- Review current financial reporting methods, accounting practices, and investment activities, and recommend improvements to senior management.
- Handle the hiring and development of finance team members.
- Communicate and manage relationships with investors and management.
- Set financial performance goals
- Establish and monitor profitability targets
- Keep senior leadership informed about trends that may impact the organization’s financial health.
- Monitor and ensure the organization follows legal and regulatory financial requirements.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Oversee large financial transactions and ensure they align with company goals.
- Track the company’s cash flow to ensure the organization has the necessary liquidity to meet obligations.
- Provide guidance on investment opportunities and financial strategies for growth.
Employment Requirements
- Certification and/or training in finance or related discipline is an asset.
- Proven track record in developing comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies.
- Knowledge of best practices and ethical standards in the financial industry.
- International Experience is an asset
